Saturday 14th September - next post will be the house more or less finished.......

Off on holiday, and hopefully, when we return the house will be more or less finished, some bits outside still to do but electrics, plumbing, gas and boiler installed and floor ready to receive a final finish, all walls painted and maybe doors hung.......

In the meantime, this is where we are at, plaster up in en-suite, and pipework for the shower, plaster finished in kitchen, boiler room, and pantry, all insulation up on outside walls, trench dug for gas supply from meter.

A few pics, and see you all in a couple of weeks.......

SEPTEMBER - up to 6th...........

A busy week, things going on, boiler room plastered, bedroom two in process of being fitted out, drains finished/repaired, gas man coming tomorrow (I think), last parts of framing for the Renderlath going up.

We have ordered a wood burning stove - Barbas Unilux-30 from http://www.bonkandco.co.uk/, will get our brickie to restore the chimney.

Waiting for the Rockwool wall to be done properly, as the installers omitted seals between metal work, and installed without any DPC, etc.

Very random order, but I hope you get the idea.

  DRAINS

dribbling drain - now repaired and cemented in as above

   BATHROOMS

When digging out for the gas pipe came across the rain water drain which had a hole in it, which may account for the occasional smell - now repaired and waiting for the gas pipe to be put in, maybe tomorrow.

Why do floors do such things, it was fine for a week, and then exploded
