Coming on apace

Only started a week ago and the roof has been battened, the timber is up for the walls, the drainage done, inspected and filled in, the electricity is going to be moved tomorrow.  The waterpipe has been located and a spur taken off it and the pipework into the cloakroom is well on its way.  The lavatory pan has been sited and connected to the drains.  Brilliant 7 days work so far.

Electrician coming tomorrow to do his part!

All coming along nicely.  Mark has been digging and filling and moving mounds of earth and planning what will go in the new bed that has been created.

Garage toilet and washbasin

We received the Building Warrant and have completed the work on the drains - passed today by the Building Inspector, and work battening the ceiling has now started, ready for the electrician and then the plasterboard to go up.  A few drain pictures and the work that went in to prepare for them!

New Shed!

After all the discarding of junk that had accumulated in the old sheds and workshop, the new shed arrived, and was assembled on the spot in about an hour.

We went off to buy plywood to divide the shed into "workshop" and "store". And build big shelves on one side. Store seems to be filled with camping equipment, children's books and toys on one side, and my studio stores on the other.

We have now painted it black and it has disappeared towards the leylandii that still survives at the rear of the garden.  Lots of daylight comes into the workshop from the four windows on the end, so much better than before.  Mark has adjusted the door furniture and put on serious bolts.  So you just need some pictures.........

New Garden Shed

Gosh, What a long time since I last posted.

We have come to the decision that two more of the inherited sheds must go. One was offered free on Gumtree and has made its way up to the far North of Scotland, to a bare croft, where an intrepid couple are going to set up an eco friendly site.  They left with the van crammed with their worldly belongings and the shed.

The second shed was also put on Gumtree, but for sale, and with the proceeds we bought a modest chain saw, and goodbye to some more of the leylandii.

A new shed is arriving in about 10 days time, which will house the workshop things and also all the other stuff we are keeping, tents, wet suits, children's books and toys, and paperwork.  This is to clear the garage, so it can become a 'garden room' and eventually have a loo and washbasin and the bed settee, and also be a bit of an office to deal with the aunties' paper work.

So here so pictures of the going, going, gone site!  Unfortunately I seem to have deleted the photos of the other shed.

more or less gone, a few logs to store for a couple of years before they are ready for the woodburner.
