Just a few more photos that I took last night - showing plasterboard up on wall to sitting room and pipe bends ready for the radiators

Wednesday 25th June

Not much to say - little things happening: radiator pipes being prepared, purchases include Mira Agile shower mixer; Renderplas shadow gap profile; lots more plasterboard; and more timber.  Doors decided upon, and a kitchen sink, and we have designed how we want the kitchen and have been looking at cookers and fridge freezers.

Big windows to come out on Monday - hope the weather will be good, and everyone is feeling strong.

Dot and dab and plaster boarding taking place now.

Will tell you more as and when, and include photos when any to show.

Come back soon.

Reina Nero radiators replaced - and faulty ones collected

Radiators replaced and they look very good, proper finish on them this time - they are matt and fit very close to the wall.

Midsummer day was quite productive, service void in the hall built and part plaster-boarded, I think we have used up the last order of plasterboard, more on order.

A big clean up has taken place and it feels like a house again, can't wait to move in, one day!

Channel cut for the gas pipe to run from boiler room to the gas cooker position.

Repairs made to the join of concrete slab of the old house and the new slab.  This was never carried out properly by original builder, and other repairs also made to the old part of the kitchen floor.

No building work this weekend, so a peaceful day, doing things in the garden, Mark putting down slabs in front of the art store shed, making it easier to open door and moving plants from that area.

Damp day today, after almost a week of sunshine!

Thursday 20th June - things that have happened over the past couple of days include.......

insulating and boxing in the skylights, and levelling the ceiling in the L of the sitting room

part of sitting room ceiling now plaster boarded

Not much to photograph at moment - slow progress levelling ceilings for plasterboard.

Long slow process levelling the ceilings - maybe this week the garden sliding windows will come out and get re-set.

Problems now with Reina Nero radiators

Unpacking the radiators today, in their beautifully intact packaging - only to find that they don't seem to have been finished - only have a basic undercoating on them, and no "powder coating" finish.  They should have a texture like a washing machine and have a finish like some old sand paper.  Waiting to see what is happening about them - replaced or others sourced.............

The ceiling has gone up in the hallways, and service battons for the kitchen walls.

Have sourced doors, and will order them shortly.

Plasterboard going up for the bedroom ceiling........ we are on the rebuild.

Excitement today - first of the ceilings is going up, in our bedroom.  At last it seems like we are getting somewhere, this is something that has not been taken down, it is TOTALLY NEW.  Hooray.

The corners of the window frames meet and fit together now!
